1. Were the footings and foundation inspected by a certified structural engineer? If so, can your builder produce a sealed letter of approval?

2. Were the footings built and sized with the proper sized steel to accommodate a mountain-side foundation?

3. Was the foundation reinforced with vertical and horizontal steel? were the foundation walls poured with solid concrete?

4. Have the cabin plans been designed and sealed by a licensed registered architect showing that the cabin meets the proper structural requirements?

5. Has the cabin been inspected in stage by a city building inspector or is the cabin beyond the city limits where no inspection is required?

6. Do all roads in the development meet the city requirements of a maximum 15% incline so as to provide proper access for emergency vehicles?

7. Were the roads built to meet city specifications on thickness of base and asphalt?

8. Does the development have city water?

9. Does the development have city sewer or what is being called a "public sewer"? (A public sewer is a sand filtration system and usually consists of little more than a large septic tank.)

10. Is the development within the city limits so as to be provided with city police and fire protection?
