In 1996, when we discovered a majestic mountain with glorious scenery nestled in the heart of Pigeon Forge, we believed we had received a mandate from God to share this
mountain sanctuary.
With dreams and lofty visions gathered over time, we, Paul, Larry, and Murray, began scaling the mountain. Equipped with 30 years of development experience and a sketchpad, we created a resort where the sense of family could be rekindled and souls nurtured. However, utilities and water were unavailable to Walden's creek at that time. What once seemed like towering ambitions were now mere far-off wishes. Seven years passed before our creations and design work would become tangible. With faith in God as our strong tower, we continued to believe in our dream, and were willing to hold fast to our vision until it became reality.
After years of acquired patience and gritty determination, God showed Himself to be a God of impeccable timing. Simple drawings on a sketchpad were transformed into roadways winding through the mountainside, cabin sites began to appear under a canopy of trees, and finally logs were securely stacked to form havens of rest called homes.
We have fashioned a setting where you can laugh and talk about good times, an atmosphere of enjoyment and relaxation, a haven where wonderful memories will be relived time and time again. We believe that Covered Bridge Resort has been ordained by God. This is our dream come true! Our prayer is that it will be a place where you can dream. Reflect, replenish, and restore.
